Brenda Bingham

Park House, Market Place, New Buckenham, NR16 2AN
Tel: 01953 861334 Email: brenda@binghamhall.com

Brenda has worked as a psychotherapist since 1989, initially with Relate. She then trained in CBT before coming across Human Givens. She completed her HG Diploma and Practitioner status in 2003. She has been working as a Human Givens therapist in private practice and for Norfolk County Council since then. She is a Fellow of the Human Givens Institute.

Jo Bowley

Jo has enjoyed 20 years of youth work while pursuing her counselling career, starting with Off Centre, a youth counselling service attached to Children's Services. Seven years ago she gained a Person Centred Certificate, then spent a year studying the transpersonal approach. She then progressed to NLP, becoming a master practitioner, and finally she came across the Human Givens when all the pieces of the jigsaw just fell into place. She has achieved parts1 & 2 of the Diploma and is now practising both privately and for Off Centre.

Richard Brook

Richard has worked as a social worker for twenty years, in a children and families team, the education psychology service and a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team (CAHMS). He is currently employed as a senior practitioner for Norfolk Youth Offending Team, and works as an independent trainer, teaching therapeutic skills to various child care professionals. He has five years' experience of using the Human Givens approach in work with teenagers, young adults and parents, and holds the Mindfields College Advanced Diploma

Paula Carnaby

Paula has been working in the NHS since qualifying as Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2002. Her current role is as a Primary Care Mental Health Link Worker responsible for screening, assessing, signposting and offering brief interventions to people presenting to their GP with a variety of psychological issues. She has trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy as a practitioner and trainer, and in 2006 she gained a certificate in Person Centred Counselling Skills. While she found all these skills incredibly valuable in providing therapeutic responses for those in psychological distress or experiencing mental ill health, completing the Diploma in Human Givens has provided her with a robust model that understands the human condition and so provides brief, effective and flexible treatments that really help people move forward.

Val Giblett
Val lives in Aylsham. She can be contacted on 01263 732784 or 0775 195 9145 or by email at val@humangivenstherapist.co.uk

Val has worked for many years in mental health rehabilitation and has spent some of that time in a management role. For over 20 years she has worked with people of all ages suffering from a wide range of mental health problems and emotional difficulties. Her interest in people and mental health was stimulated as far back as the 1950s when visiting long stay wards at Thorpe St. Andrew's and Hellesdon psychiatric hospitals.

She has studied and practised many different approaches to therapy in the past, including CBT and Brief Solution Focused Therapy, but when she discovered the Human Givens approach in 1997 she realised it has much to offer, it is both practical and effective. She has a BSc.(Hons.) degree in Care and Education in the Community, a Human Givens Post Graduate Diploma and has been a qualified and practising Human Givens practitioner since 2002. In her private practice she provides a flexible, mobile service throughout the County seeing people in their homes, at an agreed locality using her 'mobile therapy room' or at a private clinic in Aylsham.

Elisabeth holds the Human Givens Diploma at Postgraduate level and practises in London and East Anglia where she deals with a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, phobias, self-harm, obsessive behaviour, depression, addiction, and in particular with Aspergers Syndrome.

Elisabeth first became interested in the Human Givens approach in 2001 when she was trying to find more effective ways of helping a family member with Aspergers Syndrome. She has found it enormously useful in helping people with AS cope with, amongst other things, extreme anxiety, low-self esteem and other disorders that often co-exist with this syndrome.

She has worked for many years with young people on the Autistic Spectrum. She supports them at school and at home and also supports their parents and siblings. She is the author of an Emotional Literacy Syllabus aimed especially at the Autistic Spectrum and has taught this in a school setting.
